Lindsay Donaruma

 Lindsay Donaruma was born and raised in Rustburg, Virginia. She grew up attending Campbell County Schools. She attended Yellow Branch as a child and was a graduate of Rustburg High School. She attended Liberty University where she graduated with her Bachelor's in Education and Master's in Reading. She taught Kindergarten for 16 years and 1st grade for 1 year. This is her fourth year as a Title 1 Teacher. She has a  daughter, Autumn, and a son, Dominic. When she's not teaching, she enjoys traveling, reading, going to the beach and pool, and most importantly spending time with her family. She loves watching her son play sports and her daughter perform in plays. She wanted to be a teacher ever since she was little and always had a passion to teach reading which she is now fulfilling as a Title 1 Teacher.

Amanda Knoepp

Amanda Knoepp just started her 21st year of teaching. She has been teaching Title I for the past 11 years. She received her undergraduate in Education from UNC at Greensboro and received her Masters in Reading at the University of Lynchburg. She enjoys spending time with her family and being out on the ball field. She grew up in North Carolina and moved here to be with her husband, Dave. She has two kids, her stepson David and daughter Ellie.

Little Library:  Located in the front hall by the office

Book Library

We have a Little Library available in the lobby when you come into the school. This is a borrow system.  There are books and games for you to borrow and  enjoy at home and then return when for others to  have a turn. Please make sure before you return  that all materials/pieces are altogether.

Reading Rockets Website

This website provides information to parents about how they can assist in their child's reading journey.

Storyline Online

  • Storyline Online is a read aloud website. Celebrities read story books and show illustrations for many popular children's books. 
     

Reading Between the Lions Website

  • Reading Between the Lions provides preschool through 2nd grade videos and resources to help your child with a variety of reading skills. There are also many resources for math, science, and history.
