First Grade
Tonya Burke
Ms. Burke is a native of Campbell County and a graduate from Rustburg High School. She attended Mary Washington College and received her Bachelor of Arts degree. Then she completed graduate studies at Lynchburg College where she earned her Master of Education. Ms. Burke is starting her 33rd year in education. She has spent 27 years teaching 1st grade. She has also taught 2nd and 4th grade. She is a proud mom to 3 children. She enjoys quilting, bowling, and spending time with family.
